Golden Nugget In Atlantic City Has Been Approved For Internet Gambling

Full Speed Ahead

There is excellent news for lovers of Internet gambling in the great state of New Jersey. The Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City has received full clearance to begin offering Internet gambling. The Golden Nugget will soon be one of six total resort casinos in the Atlantic City area which are fully authorized to offer a full program of online gambling. The program will be run in conjunction with Internet gaming partners, some of whom have yet to be announced to the public.

There have been a few delays since the full clearance was received. A regimen of soft play was commenced on 21 November. However, the management of Golden Nugget and partner company Bally Technologies were unable to receive full approval for the move to go live with the rest of the properties until some days later. Full Internet gambling commenced on 26 November, and there have been no glitches or delays since that day.

Word From Management Is Encouraging

According to Golden Nugget General Manager Tom Pohlman, "As part of our strategy, we waited until now because we now offer more gaming titles than any other provider. Where all other sites provide difficult ways of receiving payment, our pre-paid method allows guests to deposit funds, or winnings, to their pre-paid card, then be able to go out and spend the funds or withdraw from an ATM."

Multiple Methods Of Payment

The word from Tom Polman, as noted above, was expressly encouraging. The Golden Nugget in Atlantic City will be the very casino in the entire world that will offer an authorized, fully loaded, prepaid card as a preferred method for deposits. The deal for the card was negotiated through the aegis of several major credit card corporations. The final deal was struck with Discover.

It is true that calibrating precise depositing methods have been a somewhat problematic issue since the full launch of Internet gambling at the Golden Nugget last November. Several major credit card companies are still rejecting deposits that are made via the Casino's mechanism.

However, these are very temporary glitches which are expected to be fully ironed out in the very near future. Meanwhile, the future of Internet gambling in Atlantic City has been given the go ahead.
